Physical Education [PE]

Our aim is for all our children to benefit from a high-quality PE curriculum that enables them to experience and enjoy a range of activities that will help them to develop their fitness, health and wellbeing.

We offer a wide-ranging curriculum that inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. Opportunities to compete in sport and activities on both an inter-school and intra-school basis build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.

Our curriculum fulfils the aims of the national curriculum for PE to ensure that all pupils:

• develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities
• are physically active for sustained periods of time
• engage in competitive sports and activities
• lead healthy, active lives
