More success for LFC as we are through to the next round of the Duddey Shield after a 4-0 victory over Farnborough in October.

Congratulations to our Y6s who were awarded silver after losing out on penalties against Norwood in the EFC tournament in October.

Well done to our girls who took part in the Formby tournament for Y1-6 in in October. Our younger girls were brave enough to give it a go (no having played as a team before) and our 5/6 girls played well enough to form a team that we have now entered into the league. Watch this space for more of that.

In June, we took our Yr 1 girls to the KS1 tournament at Christ the King High School. Despite playing against much bigger Y2s, our girls warmed up and, in their last game, tied with the team that went on to take first place. Well done girls. We'll be back next year.

Back in October, our Y5s were victorious in the EFC tournament held at Stanley High. In June they progressed to the finals held at Everton's training ground in Finch Farm.

After beating the best of the best with 16 goals scored and only 3 conceded, LFC moved to the final where we took a one - nil lead and played a great game. A freak own goal deflection in the last minute forced us into penalties.

Tied at 3-3, we went to sudden death and with a controversial last two penalties we came home with silver medals. I am immensley proud of the boys who played their hearts out and, despite being the better team, learned that life is not always fair. Bring on 2020!

Well done to all who took part in our 2nd intra-school tournament. Winning team Real Madrid (with men-of-the-match in green) below.

Matchday III took place at the end of March and Larkfield, once again, conducted themselves with the sportsmanship expected of a great school.

We played Churchtown first...

...and won 2-1

Next came Scarisbrick Hall...

...and we took an early lead...

...but just before half time...

...SH equalised...

...then in the 2nd half they really turned up the heat...

...but our guys were teflon and kept a great defence...

Larkfield 1 SH 1

Finally to the big pitch and Linaker

and goal...

...after goal came..

...teamwork...

...final score: Larkfield 7 Linaker 0
