Explore, discover and understand

Science gives children the opportunity to ask questions, explore the world around them and develop a deeper understanding of how things work.

Through the Emotional Curriculum, children learn to be curious, thoughtful and resilient scientists. They investigate living things, materials, forces, space and the environment, developing their knowledge and scientific skills over time.

Children learn to observe carefully, carry out investigations, record their findings and use evidence to explain their ideas. They are encouraged to work collaboratively, learn from mistakes and understand that scientific discovery often begins with a question.
