Reception Autumn 2 Week 3

Date: 20th Nov 2020 @ 12:18pm

What a delightful week it has been! Everybody is really captured by 'The Gingerbread Man' story and they love to retell the story.  They have produced lovely hand puppets, paintings and drawings and some children attempted to label their drawings too! The daily phonics and handwriting lessons are certainly giving them the confidence to 'have a go' at writing simple words. They loved the experience of baking gingerbread men and fortunately none of them ran away! Pirates are still menacing the outdoor area and they have built a bigger and faster ship.  It was lovely to hear them making up stories and acting. And finally, it was a fun and active day with Mr Beckham and Mr Sutch. All the children practised new skills and tried hard to play simple competitive games. Sports Skills Academy awarded points to the children for achievement, attitude and effort. Well done to the blue team for being the overall winners.

Phonics is moving to Unit 5 which focuses on k,l,r,u.

It was lovely to speak to you earlier in the week. Please approach us at the end of the day, ring or email the office if you have any queries or questions about your child's learning.

It was a great week RFM, looking forward to seeing you all on Monday.
