R/1F Autumn 2 Week 2
Date: 13th Nov 2020 @ 12:57pm
I can't believe how quickly the weeks are flying over! We have been very busy as usual in R1F. Our roleplay has changed slightly with the focus on the evening/ night time. Using the language of 'first', 'next' , 'last', the Reception children shared their bedtime routines, discussing similarities and differences. In maths, we have been matching numbers to 10 with a quantity of objects.
The Year 1 children have been working on addition of numbers within 10 and finding different all the different number facts. We shared the story of 'The Last Wolf' and talked lots about all the Traditional Tales we know.
Today we enjoyed our Sports Skills day and we were very lucky with the weather so managed to get outside and enjoy some football and ball skills. The children worked well in their teams and we all had lots of fun.
Please check the maths activities set on School Jam and as always Letterjoin to help with the children's recognition and formation. Please refer to Home Learning card if you haven't yet visited these online learning websites. A big thank you for reading every night it really does make a difference to your child's progress.
Look forward to seeing you on Monday R1F.
