2G Autumn 1 Week 4

Date: 1st Oct 2020 @ 8:46pm

Another busy week in 2G! The children are having so much fun and there are always lots of smiles!

2G classroom had an 'upgrade' this week. The writing area has been created and there have been lots of letters, lists, stories and information posters created! I am already very impressed with the writing the children have produced. We now have a postbox to post all the letters! The children also wanted to complete weather reports 'like they do on the telly' so the weather station has been created! We are hoping to install a weather vane to it!

The children have worked hard in maths and we have now finished learning about place value. We will start to learn about addition and subtraction next week.

The art area has been very popular this week and the children have created some fabulous nature portraits and some greater than/less than crocodiles!

*** Next week we will be starting a 2 week theme around pumpkins (and squashes). We will be drawing them, measuring, cutting, observing, grating, rolling and many, many more things! If you could donate a pumpkin or squash we would very much appreciate it!!

Another big thank you for reading at home! It makes such a HUGE difference.
