1/2M Autumn 2 Week 2
Date: 15th Nov 2020 @ 2:15pm
We've had another great week in 1/2M! This week, all the children have demonstrated great adding skills in maths, impressed us with their accuracy in phonics and done some superb written work. The children continue to make excellent progress with their reading, thanks largely to the amount of reading done at home - it really does make all the difference. In science, we have been looking at different habitats and had a go at designing and creating our own, with amazing results (see the pictures below). In geography, we have been creating maps for our class book character, Red, to help her find her way to the wolf's house - we talked about why we use a key and included them in our maps. Friday was Children in Need and the children looked fantastic - we particularly liked some of the accessories! It gave us the opportunity to talk about why we have Children in Need and how we can help.
We look forward to seeing you all on Monday for more fun and learning,
Mrs McQuiston, Mrs Hoskin and Mrs Peart
