3R 2019 - 2020
Welcome to Class 3R's webpage. Here you will find information, pictures, dates for your diary, news and much more!! We will update from time to time so keep checking to see what we have been up to!
I'm really looking forward to an exiting, fun and jam packed year ahead!
Ms Murphy and Mrs Sheldon will teach the class on Wednesday afternoons.
In Year 3 the children are expected to read every single night (or morning!). It really does make a huge difference! It can be anything from a few pages to a whole book. The children should now comment, date and sign each time they have read themselves. (I love reading their comments)
Your child is carrying out spelling activities in school every day. However, they will bring home their spelling book each Monday-please remind them to bring it back for a test each Friday.
Homework is sent home in the form of a grid. This means that your child can select which piece of homework to do, in the order that they like. It is due in each half term. Watch out for spot checks though!
Practice them at home all the time. Sing them, whisper them, drive everyone mad with them!
PE is every Tuesday this term. Please make sure that named PE kit is in school at all times. Thank you! :) We will be going swimming in the summer term. The weather is getting colder-please can your child leave a track suit and trainers in school, as we will do PE outside wherever possible :)
This term our topic question is: Why Settle Near Rivers?
The Stone Age
